About NEAES
The Northeast Alabama Entrepreneurial System, more commonly called the Entrepreneurial Center, is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation. We are a business incubator that was created as a result of broad community collaboration in 1998. An EDA grant provided the funds for construction of the facility. The Center is a 40,000 square foot mixed use facility that serves service and light manufacturing companies.
Incubators are designed to encourage, support and facilitate entrepreneurship and new business creation. Currently there are at least 13 business incubators in the State of Alabama and several hundred throughout the country and world. Communities that have Incubators in its arsensal of tools for economic development have an advantage in diversifing their local economies and promoting home grown businesses.
